Getting Started

Every athlete starts with the $50 NBP Assessment Pack. Book it online at https://natural-ball-player.vercel.app/book ,complete the evaluation, and our coaches will have your individualized plan ready within 24 hours.

Yes. All new athletes must complete the Assessment Pack before purchasing any other package. Please don’t
buy a membership or session pack until you’ve been assessed.

A full 50–70 minute evaluation of strength and conditioning, range of motion (ROM), and every baseball skill.
We capture video and visual data so we can build a plan around your athlete’s specific strengths and
weaknesses.

A program. Your assessment isn’t just for one-on-one or small group lessons — it’s the foundation of a monthly
program built around your athlete’s deficiencies and proficiencies.

Most training runs on a monthly membership, with several price points to fit your athlete’s needs and your
family’s budget. Flexible session packs and specialty programs are also available.

How NBP Training Works

Every athlete follows the same four-phase, data-driven cycle:

Assess — Coaches evaluate strengths, weaknesses, and current performance to build a targeted plan.
Train — Position-specific work on strength, endurance, and skill to boost performance and reduce injury
risk.
Game — Athletes test their training in real games, grouped on weekends.
Retest — Athletes retest after each phase so coaches can adjust programming based on results.

Grouping games on weekends gives athletes the week to recover and to sharpen skills and strength between
games.

Year-round meal plans, pre- and post-training modalities, and sleep and strain monitoring through WHOOP.
That internal-metric programming, which no other facility in the country offers, gives athletes and coaches an
update every 24 hours on what’s going well and what needs attention.

WHOOP, TrackMan, HitTrax, force plates, radar guns, Blast Motion, Edgertronic cameras, and our biomechanics lab.

You retest after every phase with the same technology, so progress is measured and your program is updated
based on real numbers. Through our partnership with WHOOP, NBP is the only facility in the country with
internal-metric programming layered into training. Athletes and coaches get updates every 24 hours on where
each athlete is excelling and where they need work, so the growth curve accelerates at a one-of-a-kind rate.

Questions from Parents

Arm Health & Injury Prevention

Little League elbow is an overuse injury to the growth plate on the inside of the elbow, caused by too much
throwing, too little rest, and poor mechanics. NBP attacks all three causes:
• Every athlete starts with an assessment that measures range of motion and throwing mechanics, so we spot
risk factors before they become injuries.
• Our biomechanics lab and Edgertronic high-speed cameras show exactly how stress moves through the
arm, and our MLB and pro pitching staff fix the mechanics behind it.
• Strength and conditioning builds the shoulder, core, and legs, so the elbow isn’t doing work the rest of the
body should.
• WHOOP sleep and strain monitoring helps coaches see when an athlete needs rest.
• Our partnership with Lake Washington Physical Therapy gives families a direct path to expert care if
something doesn’t feel right

We recommend families follow MLB and USA Baseball’s Pitch Smart guidelines: age-based pitch counts,
required rest days, no pitching on back-to-back days, and at least 4 months off from competitive pitching each year. Your NBP coach builds throwing volume into your athlete’s program and adjusts it around their team’s game schedule.

Pitching and catching in the same game, or pitching for more than one team in a season, are two of the biggest
overuse risks. Tell your coach about every team your child plays on so we can program around their total
throwing load.

Mechanics come first. Our coaches focus young pitchers on a well-commanded fastball and changeup, then
introduce breaking pitches once an athlete’s mechanics, strength, and maturity are ready, as measured in their
assessment and retests.

Stop throwing and see a medical professional. Pain is not something to throw through. Let your NBP coach know so we can adjust their program, and use our Lake Washington PT partnership if you’d like a referral.

Strength Training

No. That’s a myth. The American Academy of Pediatrics and the National Strength and Conditioning
Association both support supervised strength training for kids. There’s no evidence that properly coached lifting
stunts growth or damages growth plates. Most youth lifting injuries come from poor technique and no
supervision, which is exactly what NBP removes.

• Every lift is monitored and guided by our in-house S&C coaches.
• Programs are built from each athlete’s assessment, not a one-size-fits-all template.
• Young athletes learn movement quality and bodyweight control before load is added.
• Coaches retest after every phase to make sure the athlete is progressing safely.

Better strength, speed, and body control, plus a lower risk of injury. A stronger body spreads the stress of throwing and swinging across more muscle, instead of loading the elbow and shoulder alone.

Getting Started

We train athletes as young as 6. Most kids are ready for structured training once they can listen to instructions and follow a coach’s direction. For young players, our Youth Group Training (12 and under) builds core fundamentals while keeping the game fun. Submarine Academy starts at age 10.

No. We train everyone from first-time Little Leaguers to MLB players. Every program starts from your athlete’s assessment, so beginners get a plan built for where they are today.

No. Skills sessions run in small groups of 2–4 athletes per coach, and Youth Group Training includes a custom plan for both facility work and homework.

Our staff are former collegiate, professional, and MLB players and coaches.

Balancing Training & Life

Not when it’s planned right. Programs run anywhere from 1 to 6 days a week based on the assessment, and coaches adjust training around your athlete’s season. We group games on weekends so athletes have the week to recover and develop.

Year-round baseball without a break raises overuse risk. Your coach will plan rest from throwing into your athlete’s year and use the offseason for strength, mobility, and skill work that doesn’t stress the arm.

Yes. Athletes get year-round meal plans, and WHOOP monitoring tracks sleep and recovery so coaches can
adjust training when an athlete is run down. NBP is the only facility in the country with this internal-metric
programming, and athletes and coaches get updates every 24 hours

Athletes retest after every training phase with TrackMan, HitTrax, force plates, radar guns, and Blast Motion, so you see real numbers, not guesses. Programs are tracked in the NBP web app. On top of that, our WHOOP partnership makes NBP the only facility in the country with internal-metric programming built into training: athletes and coaches get an update every 24 hours showing where your child is excelling and where they need improvement. Adjusting daily instead of waiting weeks lets athletes improve at a rate no one else can match.
