"This past offseason working with athletes on NBP & OPP,(Optimal Power Performance) gave me a perspective that exceeds any other program. How ATTENTION TO DETAIL matters. Especially with the correlation to baseball or any sport from the movements and exercises. With a strong emphasis on MOBILITY and BODY EFFICIENCY, creates an athlete to optimize their abilities.

Primarily working in the weight room, I saw the dramatic increase in athleticism. Where these young athletes progressed in ability. On the field they were putting up numbers on exit velo, velocity, and overall balance.

A takeaway I had was how to warm up properly and how important the little things are. Cordell and Aj Arroyo created a platform which is on TrueCoach for athletes all over the world can have access to this high-quality training. It's simple where the athletes can see how to do a movement. As a coach to these young ball players, they not only grew in ability. But in the mindset to be great, To dominate everything they do with intent and mental discipline."

"Being a weight room intern at The Natural Ball Player’s taught me just as much as I taught the athletes. Training with Andres remotely at Optimal Power Performance while also having Cordell and Toly’s brains to pick gave me and all the athletes an abundance of information and knowledge. Along with that comes a high standard of effort. The culture that has been created at NBP doesn’t accept any player or coach to get away with slacking. For any athlete of any sport that wants to get better in a fun environment, come train at NBP."

"Working at this facility is one of the best decisions I ever made. The atmosphere is like none you have ever seen before, when you walk in the facility, your greeted with energy and everyone knows your name, and it’s the exact same when you leave. The facility is creative, if you left and come back two months later, the facility has upgraded in some way, always improving and adapting to create the optimal baseball training atmosphere.

The work is still work, but it’s the greatest work you could ever think of doing. Not only are you developing young athletes physically, you are instilling in them perseverance and mental strength that comes with becoming good at a game of failure. And more than that, I have learned so much about the game just by teaching young kids the absolute basics, so even I walk out every day knowing more than when I came in. NPB isn’t for screwing around and half assed effort. But if your willing to put in the work and accept teaching and criticism, I have total faith there is no better facility in the world to work at or attend than NPB."

I started my college career at Edmonds College, redshirting my first year and then covid hitting my second year. Leading to not fulling starting my college career until my third year where I transferred to Linfield University where I spent 3 years. I had known Cordell since 15U but during this transition period I decided to start fully training with Cordell when not at school. This decision helped me get to a point where I had the opportunity to play at a Division 1 school for my graduate year called Quinnipiac University.

I choose to Internship with Cordell and Toly at NBP for multiple reasons. The first being that the sense of family they create and encourage is one that pulls people in and makes them feel like they belong from day 1. Another reason is that I didn’t have any experience working in this area outside of playing and a year of coaching but they helped me with a smooth transition into working for them where I help with training, social media, product design, and filming & editing content.

Seamus Brown

My name is Seamus Brown and I have been raining at NBP for about a year now and recently had an opportunity to become an intern here at NBP. It’s been a great experience learning how the whole buisness is operated, as well as learning everything about pitch design, metrics, training programs, and hitting mechanics. Thank you to Cordell and Toly for taking me under their wing for the last 3 months as it was a fantastic experience that taught me many life lessons.
